Hepatitis C

The Root Center has also developed specific programs for Hepatitis C, which is a liver infection caused by a blood-borne virus (Hepatitis C Virus – HCV) that can result in long-term health problems.

If you are interested in Hepatitis C screening, please speak with your counselor. An internal referral will be sent to the infectious disease coordinator and they will set up an initial counseling session. After the session, you will be asked to have screening lab work done. Based on your lab results, an appointment will be scheduled to discuss and potentially initiate treatment for Hepatitis C.
