The Root Center helps individuals struggling with substance use and/or mental health disorders. Counselors work with each patient to develop an individualized recovery plan which is based on the unique strengths, needs, abilities and preferences of each person served.
Medication assisted treatment
Medication is used collaboratively with counseling and behavioral therapies. Medications assist with reducing cravings and other withdrawal symptoms.
Intensive outpatient services
For those that qualify, a counseling and behavioral therapy program that supports sustained progress in recovery.
What To Expect
Patients who engage in services with the agency MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment Program) will be assigned to a primary counselor and will receive at a minimum one counseling session per month, an individualized recovery plan with ongoing updates, and a variety of support groups to choose from.
- All patients are required to attend the two orientation groups within the first 60 days of treatment.
- New patients who meet criteria for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services may be scheduled for that upon admission and as indicated during treatment as well.
- Initially, all new patients will attend daily, except for Sundays when clinics are closed.
- During treatment, patients may earn take-home bottles as they progress in treatment and will no longer need to attend daily.
Patients who engage in the IOP services will initially be assigned to attend 5 days per week Mon-Fri for a 3 hour time frame. The program includes a variety of recovery related topics and clinical process opportunities performed in a group setting. Over time, when patients are stabilizing in recovery, they may be reduced to attend 3 days per week. Typical duration in IOP is approximately 6 weeks in length, and based upon clinical treatment progress.
At the Root Center for Advanced Recovery, money shouldn’t be a barrier to your treatment. Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance carriers are accepted.
