Joseph Podolski, DO, FAPA is the Chief Medical Officer of the Root Center. Dr. Podolski is responsible for the management of our various medical and psychiatric services. He also heads up our clinical research arm in addition to serving as a clinical professor of psychiatry for various academic institutions associated with the Root Center.
Dr. Podolski completed his medical school training at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut, a residency in Psychiatry at Hartford Hospital/Institute of Living, and a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is dual board certified in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
Prior to joining the Root Center Dr. Podolski served as the Vice President of Behavioral Health Services & Regional Chairman of Psychiatry for Waterbury Hospital and Eastern Connecticut Health Network.
