Root Center held an expert panel exploring the impact of COVID19 on our teens and ways to support our youth through this difficult period. Anxiety, depression, and other challenges are on the rise. This timely discussion addressed issues of youth, wellness and recovery in the midst of the pandemic, hosted by an expert panel including Dr. Leonard Lev, Medical Director at Root Center, Dr. Mariela Podolski, Psychiatrist and Board Member at Root Center, and Tara Ferrante, LCSW, Director of Clinical Services at Root Center.

Kristyn Zajac and Liz Narwold, medical researchers with University of Connecticut, talk about a recent study with Root Center Patients. The study looked at what metrics patients used to define their own success in their recovery, and how researchers can reflect on the data to inform future studies regarding patients in recovery.
